What we collect when you get in touch, why we have it, and what you can ask us to do with it.

Catena Group is the business behind this site. The formal details below are published as they are settled. Where one is not settled, the line says so instead of showing you a blank.

What we collect

All of it comes from you, and most of it in one form.

What you type into the enquiry form
Your name and email address, the organization you are writing for, a phone number if you give one, and whatever you tell us about the job.
What you send us afterwards
Anything you share in a call, an email or a document while we work out what you need and do the work.
Your light or dark choice
If you pick a theme, this site remembers it in your own browser. It is not sent to us and it is not used to recognize you.
Nothing from a tracker
This site runs no analytics and no advertising trackers. Nothing here builds a profile of you.

Why we have it

To answer you, to work out what you need, to quote for it, to do the work and to invoice for it. If you tell us about a job and we never work together, we hold on to the enquiry so the conversation can be picked up if you come back, and for no other purpose.

Who else sees it

The people at Catena working on your enquiry or your project. Beyond that, the suppliers that carry it: the service that delivers our email, and the storage where files you send us are kept. They handle it for us and for nothing of their own. We do not sell it and we do not hand it to anybody for their own marketing.

How long we keep it

We keep records connected to work we were paid for for as long as the law requires. For a business operating under New York law that period is set by statute rather than by us. We keep everything else while it is still useful to one of us, and you can ask us to remove it.

What you can ask us for

A copy
What we hold about you, in a form you can read.
A correction
If something we hold about you is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
Deletion
We will remove what we are not required to keep, and tell you plainly what we are required to keep and why.
An end to it
Ask us to stop contacting you and we stop, without needing a reason.

How to ask

Send it through the enquiry form and say in the first line that it is a privacy question.
